"Swedish jazz artist CECILIA STALIN is a talent not to be overlooked. Her music, explores genres including nu-jazz, hip hop, neo soul and Brazilian music. A stunningly versatile voice is her trademark, and envelops a wide spectrum of feelings and emotions. From intimacy and fragility, to great will and power. Will-power is most definitely a virtue that has helped Cecilia to achieve success with the many collaborations and recordings that span her career so far. Her delivery of mellifluous gems truly brings forth the virtues of well-crafted and inspirational sounds."

Since beginning a career in music, Cecilia has primarily focused on her own ensembles. After finishing college in 2005, Cecilia recorded the debut CD ‘Straight Up’ with her Swedish quintet; the album was released in Japan and USA in 2006. She toured Sweden after her Jazz Award 'Rookie of the year' and recorded a live gig for Swedish National Radio P2. In 2007, Cecilia moved to London in order to explore her musical career possibilities further and since arriving in London, she has expanded her musical experience by writing and releasing 2 very well received albums - 'Step like a giant' (a tribute to John Coltranes amazing songwriting, soulfulness playing and legacy) and her latest project 'The Story of Love' (a beautiful collaboration with Atlanta based basist Khari Cabral Simmons focusing on some of our greatest songwriters like Seawind, Jon Lucien and The Beatles) and therefor also frequently performing at London Jazz Festival, The Barbican, Queen Elisabeth Hall, The Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2014, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (Main stage), Jazz Cafe, 606 Jazz Club, Roundhouse, opened for Gregory Porter around UK and recently recorded with young Chinese pianist protégé A Bu for Sennheiser in New York.
