Label

It all started when...

I came out of the Royal Academy of Music and I wanted to record my first solo album. I had worked with KOOP for almost a decade and it was time for me to do my own thing and I wanted to do it on my own.

I applied for a grant, wrote the music, rehearsed the band, rented a studio & a great sound engineer and spent two days in the studio recording my first album. I spent hours mixing and mastering the music with amazing people and learnt a lot on the way. I spoke to some more industry people and set up my own label, spoke to publishers and songwriting organisations and released and licensed my album in 2006. Ever since I've tried to stay on top of what's happening in the industry with online presence and making sure you give your fans a little piece of you for each release.

Step like a giant Music is a new form of the label that I set up in 2005 and has two great releases under it's name: The Story of Love (vinyl & cd)  - Cecilia Stalin & Khari Cabral Simmons                                                                     The Love Ep (cd) - Cecilia Stalin & Sam Champ/Drew Beats/Troy Broadcite/Andrew Yancey

In november we're releasing a jazz standards album called 'I wish you love' featuring a collaboration with Bob & Cecilia Stalin, celebrating life, family and love. It'll be a free download via ccstalin.bandcamp.com
